Slit3 Antibody (3C5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Slit3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Slit3 antibody (3C5) is available as a non-conjugated monoclonal isotype antibody. Slit3 (3C5) antibody recognizes a protein that plays a crucial role in neural development, particularly in axonal guidance, by serving as a signaling ligand for the Roundabout (Robo) receptor, which is essential for proper navigation of axons during neural circuit formation. Slit3 is secreted and belongs to a family of leucine-rich repeat-containing proteins, which influence movement and positioning of neurons in the developing central nervous system. Expression of Slit proteins, including Slit3, in the midline of the central nervous system across various vertebrate species highlights their conserved function in regulating mesodermal cell movement during gastrulation. Slit3 has been implicated in spatial progression of retinal ganglion cell axons, acting as a short-range inhibitory guidance cue that ensures correct targeting of these cells.
