    SLC2A4RG Antibody (K-41) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SLC2A4RG protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-SLC2A4RG antibody (K-41) is available as a non-conjugated format. SLC2A4RG protein, also known as SLC2A4 regulator, Huntington disease gene regulatory region-binding protein 1, and GLUT4 enhancer factor, is a crucial transcription factor composed of 387 amino acids that plays a significant role in transactivation of Glut4 and Huntington′s disease (HD) genes. SLC2A4RG regulates Glut4 transcription by binding to domain I of Glut4 promoter in collaboration with MEF-2, and SLC2A4RG activity increases following exercise, which enhances DNA binding activities of both SLC2A4RG and MEF-2, leading to elevated Glut4 transcription. Glut4 overexpression in skeletal muscle improves glucose homeostasis and enhances insulin sensitivity, making SLC2A4RG essential for metabolic health. SLC2A4RG recognizes 5′-GCCGGCG-3′ DNA sequence motif within HD promoter, influencing HD gene transcription. SLC2A4RG shows ubiquitous expression, with highest levels in skeletal muscle, liver, kidney, heart, and pancreas, shuttling between cytoplasm and nucleus with a C2H2-type zinc finger essential for DNA binding capabilities. Two SLC2A4RG isoforms arise from alternative splicing, diversifying functional roles in cellular processes.
