Simazine-d10 is a synthetic herbicide belonging to the triazine family. It effectively controls a wide range of weeds, grasses, and sedges, making it suitable for both agricultural and non-agricultural applications. With its chlorine atom attached to an aromatic ring, simazine-d10 acts as a potent herbicide against broadleaf and grassy weeds. Simazine-d10 achieves its herbicidal action by inhibiting photosynthesis in plants. By binding to photosystem II, responsible for light-dependent reactions, it disrupts the production of ATP and NADPH, for carbohydrate synthesis, thus impeding the plant′s energy production.
