Simazine/Atrazine Antibody (HYB266-02) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Simazine/Atrazine protein of non-species reactive by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Simazine/Atrazine antibody (HYB266-02) is available as a non-conjugated format. Simazine is an aquatic herbicide primarily used to control algae and submerged aquatic vegetation, effectively targeting unicellular and filamentous algae by disrupting their food production processes, which leads to the depletion of their starch reserves. Atrazine is a widely utilized s-Triazine-ring herbicide that targets broad-leaf and grassy weeds in major crops by binding to the plastoquinone-binding protein in photosystem II, thereby inhibiting electron transport and ultimately affecting photosynthesis. The significance of Atrazine′s mechanism lies in its ability to enhance agricultural productivity while also being employed in conservation tillage systems to prevent soil erosion and runoff. The half-life of Atrazine in soil ranges from 15 to 100 days, and undergoes biodegradation through dechlorination, followed by the removal of other ring substituents by amidohydrolases or dealkylation of its amino groups. This multifaceted role of Simazine and Atrazine in both agricultural and industrial applications underscores the importance of Simazine/Atrazine (HYB266-02) antibody in research and environmental monitoring.
