SIM2s Antibody (3E6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SIM2s protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SIM2s antibody (3E6) is available as a non-conjugated isotype antibody. SIM2s protein plays a crucial role in gene expression regulation during development, particularly in the context of the Per-Arnt-Sim (PAS) domain, a 270 amino acid motif that facilitates interactions among various PAS family transcription factors. SIM2s protein is essential for proper functioning of the aromatic hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) and its partner, the Ah receptor nuclear translocator protein 1 (Arnt 1), which are involved in mediating cellular responses to environmental signals. SIM2 protein can inhibit AhR and Arnt 1 dimerization, thereby regulating transcriptional activation and influencing developmental processes. SIM2s significance extends to potential involvement in Down syndrome, as SIM2s is located on chromosome 21 and may contribute to developmental anomalies associated with this condition. Anti-SIM2s antibody (3E6) enables valuable insights into molecular mechanisms underlying gene regulation and developmental biology.
