    SEE ALSO...

Siglec-10 Antibody (1D11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Siglec-10 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Siglec-10 antibody (1D11) is available as the non-conjugated format. Siglec-10, or Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 10, is a 697 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the immune system as an inhibitory receptor. Siglec-10 is primarily expressed in the spleen, bone marrow, and peripheral blood lymphocytes, including monocytes, natural killer cells, and eosinophils. Siglec-10 features an N-terminal Ig-like domain with a sialic acid-binding site, which is essential for interaction with sialic acid-containing ligands, and a C-terminal cytoplasmic region that contains two immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs). These motifs are critical for modulating cellular responses through the recruitment of SH2 domain-containing proteins, thereby influencing immune signaling pathways. Notably, Siglec-10 mRNA is significantly upregulated in eosinophils at sites of inflammation in asthmatics, indicating potential as a therapeutic target for immunomodulatory strategies. Additionally, six named isoforms of Siglec-10 result from alternative splicing, with all isoforms existing as single-pass transmembrane proteins, except for isoform 6, which is secreted.
