SHIP-2 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SHIP-2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SHIP-2 (E-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SHIP-2 protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in the regulation of immune responses and cell growth. SHIP-2 hydrolyzes phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate (PtdIns P3) to phosphatidylinositol 3,4-bisphosphate (PtdIns P2), which is essential for inhibiting cell proliferation and promoting cell cycle arrest, particularly in glioblastoma cells. This function helps maintain cellular homeostasis and prevents uncontrolled cell growth, which can lead to tumorigenesis. SHIP-2 is involved in the signaling pathways of various immune cells, including T and B lymphocytes, and SHIP-2 expression is modulated by factors such as macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) and epidermal growth factor (EGF). SHIP-2 interaction with other proteins, such as Shc, further underscores SHIP-2′s importance in mediating cellular responses to external stimuli. With diverse roles in both hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells, SHIP-2 is a significant player in the regulation of immune functions and cellular signaling, making anti-SHIP-2 antibody (E-2) an invaluable tool for researchers studying these critical biological processes.

Can this mouse monoclonal antibody be used to stain mouse tissue in IHC?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. Yes, we recommend this antibody for use with mouse samples in IF and IHC. We recommend using a directly conjugated primary to avoid any mouse on mouse staining problems. This antibody is available conjugated to HRP, FITC, PE, AF488 and AF647.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Angiotensin II down-regulates nephrin–Akt signalinwe report that Ang II-infused rats developed proteinuria and podocyte damage accompanied by nephrin dephosphorylation and minimal interaction between nephrin and c-Abl. In vitro, Ang II induced podocyte injury and nephrin and Akt dephosphorylation, which occurred in tandem with minimal interaction between nephrin and c-Abl.Results indicate that c-Abl is a molecular chaperone of nephrin signaling and the SHIP2-Akt pathway and that the released c-Abl contributes to Ang II-induced podocyte injury.
