SH3RF2 Antibody (Y-18) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SH3RF2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SH3RF2 antibody (Y-18) is available as a non-conjugated format. SH3RF2, also known as RNF158, is a 729 amino acid protein characterized by one RING-type zinc finger domain and three SH3 domains, which play crucial roles in cellular signaling and protein interactions. The presence of the RING-type zinc finger motif, a conserved cysteine-rich domain capable of binding two zinc atoms, indicates SH3RF2′s involvement in the ubiquitination pathway, a vital mechanism for protein degradation and regulation within cells. SH3RF2 functions as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, facilitating ubiquitin transfer from an E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme to target proteins, marking these proteins for degradation. This regulatory function maintains cellular homeostasis and responds to stress signals, making SH3RF2 a key player in various biological processes. Due to alternative splicing, SH3RF2 exists in two different isoforms, which may have distinct functional roles in cellular contexts.
