Sertraline hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt form of sertraline. It is a selective and potent inhibitor of ST (serotonin transporter), increasing availability of serotonin in the brain. Sertraline displays antiproliferative activity on human colorectal carcinoma cells. The compound′s structure features a naphthalenamine moiety with a chlorine atom, linked to a tetralin ring through a nitrogen atom.
