Se42 Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Se42 protein of S. equi origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Se42 antibody (C-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Se42 protein plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of Streptococcus equi subspecies equi (S. equi), an equine pathogen responsible for the highly contagious disease known as strangles. Se42 protein is involved in the bacterium′s ability to evade the host′s immune response, allowing for persistent infection and transmission among horses.
