SB 657510 has been shown to act as a selective urotensin-II (UT) receptor antagonist with Ki values of 61, 17, 30, 65 and 56 nM at human, monkey, cat, rat and mouse receptors respectively. This compound has also been shown to inhibit U-II-induced intracellular Ca2+ mobilization with an IC50of 180 nM, and to antagonize the contractile action of U-II in isolated mammalian arteries and aortae with an EC50of 50 - 189 nm.
