SAST124 Antibody (21) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SAST124 protein of mouse and rat origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-SAST124 antibody (21) is available as a non-conjugated format. Syntrophin-associated serine/threonine kinase-124 (SAST124) plays a crucial role in cellular signaling as a member of the microtubule-associated serine/threonine kinases family, functioning as a signaling molecule for Syntrophin. SAST124 is predominantly expressed in specific neuronal populations, including those in the subventricular zone, granule cells of the olfactory bulb, Islands of Calleja, hippocampal dentate gyrus, and cerebellum, where SAST124 localizes to the nucleus. Nuclear localization of SAST124 suggests a role in transcriptional regulation, essential for the development and maintenance of neuronal characteristics shared by these regions. Through facilitating the connection between the extracellular matrix and intracellular cytoskeleton via the dystrophin-associated protein complex, SAST124 contributes to the structural integrity and functionality of postsynaptic structures in both the neuromuscular junction and central nervous system.
