Salmonella typhimurium 0-4 Antibody (1E6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Salmonella typhimurium 0-4 protein of Salmonella typhimurium origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-Salmonella typhimurium 0-4 antibody (1E6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), providing flexibility for different experimental needs. Salmonella typhimurium is a Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic bacterium and a significant food-borne pathogen, known for causing Salmonellosis, which manifests as diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps within 12 to 72 hours post-infection. Salmonella typhimurium 0-4 (1E6) monoclonal antibody targets a protein that plays a crucial role in the bacterium′s virulence, as this protein is involved in the synthesis of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a major component of the outer membrane that contributes to the structural integrity of the bacterial cell. LPS not only protects the bacterium from environmental threats but also acts as an endotoxin, triggering a robust immune response in the host, which can lead to the characteristic symptoms of infection. Understanding the function of the Salmonella typhimurium 0-4 protein is vital for developing strategies to combat infections and improve food safety.
