S-Nitrosocaptopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, as well as an inhibitor of platelet aggregation. After homolytic cleavage of the S-N bond under physiological conditions, S-Nitrosocaptopril yields both nitric oxide (NO) and the parent compound, captopril (sc-200566).
