QUICK LINKS
S-(2,4-Dinitrophenyl)-Glutathione is a substrate for GST (Glutathione-S-Transferase), that has a kinetically determined dissociation constant of 7muM. S-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)glutathione has been found to act as a substrate for glutathione S-transferases, which are enzymes that catalyze the transfer of glutathione from one molecule to another. This process is known as glutathionylation and is important for regulating the activity of many proteins. In addition, S-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)glutathione has been found to act as an inhibitor of glutathione reductase, which is an enzyme that catalyzes the reduction of glutathione.
