Rpn2 Antibody (112-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Rpn2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB). Anti-Rpn2 antibody (112-1) is available as a non-conjugated format, providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying this critical protein. Rpn2 plays a vital role in the 26 S proteasome, which is essential for the final steps of the ubiquitin-dependent protein degradation pathway, responsible for maintaining cellular homeostasis by degrading damaged or misfolded proteins. The structure of Rpn2 is particularly important as Rpn2 contains a classic nuclear localization sequence (NLS), which is crucial for proper localization to the nucleus, ensuring that proteasomal degradation occurs where most needed. Additionally, Rpn2, along with Rpn1, forms the largest subunits of the 26 S proteasome, and their interaction is significant for ribosome binding, further linking protein degradation to ribosomal function.
