Rpb11 Antibody (4Y11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Rpb11 protein of S. cerevisiae origin by western blotting (WB) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Rpb11 antibody (4Y11) is available as the non-conjugated isotype antibody. Rpb11 protein plays a crucial role in transcription, as a vital component of eukaryotic RNA polymerase II, responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA from DNA templates. This function is essential for gene expression regulation, particularly in response to environmental stress, where organisms must adapt transcriptional profiles to survive. Rpb11 subunit is encoded by RPB11 gene, located on chromosome XV, and relates closely to AC19 subunit found in RNA polymerases I and III, highlighting importance in transcription machinery across different polymerases. Rpb11 protein consists of 120 amino acids and shares structural similarities with other RNA polymerase subunits, suggesting conserved mechanisms of action in transcription regulation. Using anti-Rpb11 antibody (4Y11) in experiments can provide insights into RNA polymerase II activity dynamics and implications in cellular responses to various stimuli.
