QUICK LINKS

Rp-8-Br-PET-cGMPS is a potent and selective activator of cGMP-dependent protein kinase (PKG). Upon entering the cell, Rp-8-Br-PET-cGMPS binds to the regulatory domain of PKG, leading to a conformational change that activates the enzyme. This activation triggers a cascade of phosphorylation events, ultimately modulating the activity of various downstream targets involved in cellular signaling and regulation. Rp-8-Br-PET-cGMPS influences cellular processes by regulating ion channels, neurotransmitter release, smooth muscle relaxation, and gene expression. By modulating these pathways, Rp-8-Br-PET-cGMPS plays a role in mediating physiological responses such as vasodilation, neurotransmission, and smooth muscle relaxation. Rp-8-Br-PET-cGMPS is valuable for studying the role of cGMP-dependent signaling in cellular and molecular processes.
