    SEE ALSO...

Ribosomal Protein S9 Antibody (E-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects Ribosomal Protein S9 (RPS9) of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RPS9 antibody (E-3) is available as the non-conjugated form. RPS9, also known as 40S ribosomal protein S9, plays a crucial role in the assembly and function of the ribosome, which is essential for protein synthesis in all living cells. This 194 amino acid protein contains one S4 RNA-binding domain and is a member of the ribosomal protein S4P family. RPS9 is primarily located in the cytoplasm, where RPS9 is part of the small ribosomal subunit (40S) and has been identified as a component of an mRNP granule complex, which is vital for the regulation of mRNA translation and stability. The gene encoding RPS9 is mapped to human chromosome 19q13.42 and exists as multiple processed pseudogenes scattered throughout the genome, reflecting the complexity of ribosomal protein gene families. RPS9′s ability to interact with various RNA molecules and other ribosomal proteins underscores RPS9′s importance in the intricate process of ribosome biogenesis and function, making RPS9 a significant target for research in cellular biology and disease mechanisms.
