Datasheets
  • Riboflavin kinase Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ Riboflavin kinase antibody, cited in 2 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 19-45 near the N-terminus of Riboflavin kinase of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Riboflavin kinase of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Riboflavin kinase Antibody (E-7) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Riboflavin kinase Antibody (E-7) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

Riboflavin kinase Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects Riboflavin kinase of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Riboflavin kinase antibody (E-7) is available as the non-conjugated form. Riboflavin kinase, also known as RFK or RIFK, is a crucial cytoplasmic protein that plays a vital role in the biosynthesis of flavocoenzymes by catalyzing the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of riboflavin to produce flavin-mononucleotide (FMN), the first step in this pathway. RFK is predominantly expressed in the brain, placenta, and bladder, highlighting its importance in various physiological processes. The 162 amino acid structure of RFK is characterized by the presence of zinc and magnesium as essential cofactors, which are critical for enzymatic activity. RFK exhibits three distinct conformational states—namely the binary MgADP complex, the ternary product complex, and the apo form—each contributing to unique substrate binding and catalytic efficiency. Human RFK shares 44% homology with its yeast counterpart, indicating evolutionary conservation and suggesting that the flexible regions surrounding the active site, referred to as Flap I, Flap II, and Helix B, are structurally and functionally significant across species.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398830 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
