RFXAP Antibody (RFXAD55A) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects RFXAP protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-RFXAP antibody (RFXAD55A) is available as a non-conjugated format. The regulatory factor X (RFX) proteins, which include RFX1-5, RFX-B/Ank, and RFX-associated protein (RFXAP), play a crucial role as class II transcription factors, activating enhancer elements of several hepatitis B virus genes and promoting the induction of MHC class II genes in response to interferon-γ stimulation. RFXAP (RFXAD55A) monoclonal antibody is particularly important due to involvement in the formation of the RFX trimer, which consists of RFX5, RFX-B/Ank, and RFXAP, and is essential for binding to X and S boxes in MHC class II promoters. Notably, while RFXAP lacks a DNA-binding domain, RFXAP (RFXAD55A) antibody is critical for the DNA-binding function of the RFX complex, specifically interacting with RFX5 to facilitate this process. Loss of RFXAP function is associated with MHC class II deficiency disease class D, highlighting significance in immune response regulation.
