RFLAT-1 Antibody (IP-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RFLAT-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-RFLAT-1 antibody (IP-2) is available as a non-conjugated format. RFLAT-1, also known as RANTES factor of late activated T lymphocytes-1, BTEB3, and Kruppel-like factor 13 (KLF13), serves as a crucial transcription factor predominantly expressed in T cells during later stages of activation. This delayed expression coincides with RANTES production, a key chemoattractant cytokine that plays a vital role in recruiting monocytes, T lymphocytes, eosinophils, basophils, and natural killer cells to sites of inflammation. RFLAT-1 is localized in the nucleus, where RFLAT-1 binds to the A site of the RANTES promoter, facilitating transcriptional activation. Structurally, RFLAT-1 relates to the TFIIA-like zinc finger protein superfamily, featuring three contiguous zinc finger motifs at its carboxy-terminus along with a proline-rich transcriptional activation domain, which are characteristic of TFIIA family proteins such as Sp1 and Sp3. RFLAT-1′s ability to activate gene-specific transcription in activated T cells is modulated by phosphorylation, and RFLAT-1′s late-stage transcriptional activation of RANTES is significantly influenced by Rel proteins from the NFκB family, indicating a potential synergistic relationship between RFLAT-1 and Rel proteins in regulating the RANTES promoter.

I am using RFLAT-1 (IP-2): sc-130454 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration.
