RFC3 Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RFC3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). RFC3 (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The replication factor C (RFC) complex, which includes RFC3, plays a critical role in DNA metabolism, particularly in DNA replication, repair, and telomere maintenance. RFC3 is essential for loading proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) onto DNA, a process that is vital for the progression of the DNA replication fork and the coordination of DNA repair mechanisms. The RFC complex is a heteropentamer that recognizes primer-template junctions in an ATP-dependent manner, and RFC3 specifically contributes to the assembly of this complex, ensuring that DNA polymerases can effectively synthesize new DNA strands. Notably, RFC3 also participates in replication and damage checkpoint controls, acting as a sensor that helps maintain genomic stability. The human RFC3 gene is located on chromosome 13q12.3-q13, and proper function is crucial for cellular responses to DNA damage, making RFC3 a significant target for studies related to cancer biology and therapeutic interventions.
