QUICK LINKS

Reticulol acts as an isocoumarin metabolite that is produced by certain species of Streptomyces. It was first described as a potent inhibitor of cyclic nucleotide PDE (phosphodiesterase). Recent research shows Reticulol exhibits a Topo I (topoisomerase I) inactivation mechanism. It has been reported to cause inhibition of lung metastasis in the B16F10 melanoma model in a dose dependent manner.
