Resorufin is an anionic tricyclic dye. Resorufin is used as a calibration standard for resorufin-derived enzyme substrates. It has pH dependent absorption and emission over the range of 5 to 9, exhibiting yellow fluorescence at pH 4.4 and weak orange fluorescence at pH 6.4. It is also the reduction product of resazurin in cells.

Can this resorufin be used to create a reliable 50ug/mL standard using media as a diluent, that will read as such in a plate reader and be stable in a freezer at -20C?

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we were unable to find any application reference to answer your question. We also have not performed stability testing on this product and we cannot comment on whether it would be stable in the freezer at -20 degrees Celsius.
