QUICK LINKS

Resorufin β-D-galactopyranoside is a fluorogenic beta-galactosidase substrate that yields the hydrolysis product, resorufin. When subjected to enzymatic cleavage mediated by β-galactosidase, the fluorescent component known as resorufin is liberated, enabling the quantification of β-galactosidase activity. Resorufin exhibits excitation and emission peaks at 570 nm and 580 nm, respectively, making it useful for fluorescence-based analysis.
