QUICK LINKS

Resorufin is a pink fluorescent dye which has been used as a marker for microfilaments in the leading lamella of moving cells. Resorufin is a red fluorophore standard and can widely be used in enzyme assay systems. Absorption of Resorufin is pH dependent. Resorufin is unstable in the presence of thiols. Resorufin can be used in inverse fluorescence assay to detect H2O2 by measuring the disappearance of its fluorescence when horseradish peroxidase mediated oxidation to a non fluorescent derivative.
