SEE ALSO...

RASGEF1C Antibody (6E12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects RASGEF1C protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-RASGEF1C antibody (6E12) is available as a non-conjugated format. RASGEF1C, a member of the Ras guanine nucleotide exchange factor family, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by facilitating the exchange of GDP for GTP on Ras proteins, thereby activating them. This activation is vital for regulating various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. RASGEF1C is primarily located in the cytoplasm and translocates to the plasma membrane upon activation, which is essential for signaling pathways that control cytoskeletal dynamics and cell motility. RASGEF1C consists of 466 amino acids and features two RasGEF domains, which are critical for activity and interaction with Ras proteins. Alternative splicing of RASGEF1C results in two isoforms, each potentially having distinct regulatory roles in cellular processes. RASGEF1C′s ability to modulate Ras activity underscores its importance in maintaining normal cellular functions and potential implications in various diseases, including cancer, where dysregulation of Ras signaling is often observed.

Can sc-81933: RASGEF1C (6E12) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-81933: RASGEF1C (6E12) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
