Rap 2A/B/C Antibody (C-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Rap 2A/B/C in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rap 2A/B/C (C-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rap proteins, which include Rap 2A, Rap 2B, and Rap 2C, belong to the Ras superfamily of GTP-binding proteins and play crucial roles in cellular signaling pathways that regulate cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. The structure of Rap proteins features a conserved C-terminal CAAX motif, essential for post-translational modifications such as farnesylation, facilitating proper localization to the cell membrane. This membrane localization enables Rap proteins to interact with various effector proteins and modulate signaling pathways that influence cellular responses.
