Rap 1A Antibody (C-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Rap 1A protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Rap 1A (C-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Rap 1A protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in regulating cell adhesion and migration, which are vital processes in development, immune response, and cancer metastasis. Rap 1A protein is primarily located at the plasma membrane, where Rap 1A interacts with various effector proteins to modulate signaling cascades. Rap 1A′s ability to influence these pathways underscores Rap 1A′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and potential as a therapeutic target in diseases characterized by aberrant cell signaling. Rap 1A and its closely related protein, Rap 1B, share a high degree of homology, with both proteins exhibiting a conserved C-terminal Cys-Ali-Ali-Xaa sequence essential for their function. Rap 1A′s interaction with Ras GAP in a GTP-dependent manner highlights Rap 1A′s role in regulating Ras signaling, further emphasizing Rap 1A′s significance in cellular processes.
