Ramipril-d5 is a labeled antihypertensive. An ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitor, converted to an active diacid metabolite. ACE inhibitors prevent the catalyzed conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, which in turn reduces vasoconstriction and increases capillary blood volume.
