(R,S)-Anabasine, also known as Anabasine, a naturally occurring alkaloid found in the leaves and stems of Nicotiana tabacum. Animal studies have revealed that (R,S)-Anabasine exhibits anti-inflammatory,and anti-oxidant characteristics. This compound acts as an agonist of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, a neurotransmitter receptor associated with mood, memory, and cognition regulation. Additionally, (R,S)-Anabasine acts as an agonist of the serotonin receptor, which plays a role in mood and behavior modulation.
