QUICK LINKS

(R,R)-THC is a non-steroidal, potent, and selective estrogen receptor (ER) ligand agonist at ERalpha (Ki = 9.0 nM) and antagonist at ERbeta receptor (Ki = 3.6 nM). A recently investigated organochlorine compound called (R,R)-THC has drawn attention for its potential therapeutic uses. Derived from chrysene, a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) primarily released into the environment through the combustion of fossil fuels and organic matter, (R,R)-THC has exhibited a diverse array of biological effects. Moreover, (R,R)-THC has demonstrated neuroprotective and cardioprotective attributes.
