Pyrintegrin enhances survival of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) following enzymatic dissociation. Pyrintegrin is thought to enhance cell-ECM adhesion and activate integrin signaling. Pyrintegrin increases adhesion of hESCs to matrigel- and laminin-coated plates, but not to gelatin-coated plates. This water-soluble small molecule weighs approximately 250 Daltons and exhibits a diverse array of biological activities. Notably, pyrintegrin demonstrates anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, and anti-viral properties.
