QUICK LINKS

Pyrazine-d4, a member of the pyrazine family, is a lab-made molecule used as a stable isotope tracer in scientific research. Pyrazine-d4 is colorless, odorless, and tasteless and can dissolve in water, methanol, and ethanol. It serves as a substrate for enzymes that metabolize pyrazine, such as pyrazinamidases and pyrazinase, catalyzing the hydrolysis of pyrazine-d4 to pyrazine-d5, which in turn breaks down into pyrazolidine-d5.
