PTF1, also known as PTF1A or PTF1-p48, is a crucial pancreas-specific transcription factor that plays a vital role in the development and function of the pancreas. PTF1 is a component of the trimeric pancreas transcription factor 1 complex and is localized in the nucleus, where PTF1 contains a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain.
