Protocatechuic Acid is a phenolic acid antioxidant present in fruits, vegetables and nuts. It is a metabolite of polyphenols such as Phloretin and Quercetin. It may protect skin against blue light and other environmental assaults. Protocatechuic Acid has been found to be an efficacious chemopreventive agent in several carcinogenesis models.
