Proteasome Substrate II is a fluorogenic substrate for the peptidylglutamyl-peptide hydrolyzing (caspase-like) activity of the proteasome. Can be stimulated in the presence of Mg2+ ions and rapidly inactivated by N-acetylimidazole.
