QUICK LINKS

Prostaglandin H1 (PGH1) is a COX metabolite of DGLA and the precursor to all 1-series prostaglandins and thromboxanes. PGH1 has been shown to be a suicide inhibitor of platelet TXA synthase (thromboxane synthase: Ki = 28 μM). At similar effective concentrations, yet unlike the activity of PGH2, analogs of PGH1 have been shown to have platelet aggregating activity.
