Prostaglandins of the A-series are natural products of gorgonian soft coral. It is a prodrug form of PGA1 with enhanced lipid solubility where PGA1 has been shown to cause increased urine sodium excretion, lowered arterial pressure in hypertensive patients and renal vasodilation.1 There are no published reports on the biological activity of this chemical at this time.
