Antimicrobial agent used in cosmetic products. Propyl Paraben is an artificial preservative belonging to the paraben family, which comprises esters of p-hydroxybenzoic acid. It functions as a growth inhibitor for bacteria and other microorganisms. This is achieved by disrupting the microorganism′s cell wall and membrane, thereby hindering nutrient absorption and reproductive processes within the cell.
