PRE-084 Hydrochloride is a high affinity, selective σ1 agonist (Ki values are 2.2 and 13091 nM for σ1 and σ2 receptors respectively). PRE-084 Hydrochloride is selective over PCP receptors (IC50 > 100000 nM) and several other receptor systems. In vivo, PRE-084 Hydrochloride produces antiamnesic and antitussive effects. PRE-084 Hydrochloride has an IC50 of 44 nM in the sigma receptor assay. PRE-084 Hydrochloride can enhance BDNF-mediated trophic support.
