Potassium ferrate(VI) is a paramagnetic salt that is a rare iron (VI) compound. It is a powerful oxidizing agent that has relatively non-harmful environmentally hazardous by-products after its use, leading to a strong potential in the field of "green chemistry". In organic synthesis it may act to oxidize primary alcohols. It is also known as a potential cathode material in a "super iron battery" although research is still being done in this matter.

Hello, I would like to buy the cleanest ferrate (VI) or (V). I need it only in small amount for laboratory tests. But I need ferrate with the highest purity. Please, could you send me certificate of analysis of your ferrates? Thanks a lot.

Asked by: Barbora Antošová
Thank you for your question. Our Potassium ferrate(VI) has ~90% purity. Here is an example CoA. The exact specifics are lot dependent so this is just an example CoA for this biochemical. https://datasheets.scbt.com/coa/coa.php?sc=sc-236444&lot=K1416 Please contact our Technical Service Department by phone, e-mail or live chat if you have any further questions. We are happy to help you!
