Poly(deoxyinosinic-deoxycytidylic) acid sodium salt (Poly(I:C))is a double-stranded alternating copolymer used in electrophoretic mobility shift assays to block nonspecific binding proteins. It can also be used as a nonspecific protein blocking agent in EMSA, a DNA substrate for evaluation of DNA methytransfeases, for conformational studies of DNA structure dynamics and drug, small molecule, interactions. Poly(deoxyinosinic-deoxycytidylic) acid sodium salt is also known as Poly(2′-deoxyinosinic-2′-deoxycytidylic acid).
