    SEE ALSO...

POFUT2 Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects POFUT2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-POFUT2 antibody (G-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. POFUT2, also known as Peptide-O-fucosyltransferase 2, plays a crucial role in the modification of proteins through the addition of fucose to serine or threonine residues within thrombospondin repeats, which is essential for proper protein function and stability. This post-translational modification influences protein interactions and cellular signaling pathways, thereby impacting various biological processes such as cell adhesion, migration, and immune responses. POFUT2 is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum and exists in three isoforms (A, B, and C), each exhibiting distinct expression patterns that may contribute to functional diversity. Additionally, POFUT2 may possess chaperone-like activity, aiding in the quality control and proper folding of glycoproteins, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and function.
