PNUTS Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PNUTS protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PNUTS (F-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PNUTS protein, also known as CAT53 or FB19, is encoded by the gene PPP1R10 and plays a crucial role in the regulation of serine/threonine protein phosphatases, which are essential for various cellular functions such as division, homeostasis, and apoptosis. Specifically, PNUTS acts as an inhibitor of the phosphatase activity of PP1α and PP1γ, thereby influencing the activity of the protein phosphatase holoenzyme, a trimeric complex composed of a regulatory subunit, a variable subunit, and a catalytic subunit. PNUTS presence is primarily observed in nucleoplasmic bodies and nucleoli, highlighting its importance in nuclear processes. PNUTS expression is notably high in tissues such as the brain, heart, lung, placenta, liver, kidney, pancreas, and skeletal muscle, indicating its potential involvement in various physiological and pathological conditions.
