PNP Antibody (F-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects PNP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PNP antibody (F-10) is available as the non-conjugated form. Purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PNP), also known as inosine phosphorylase, is a crucial enzyme that catalyzes the reversible phosphorolysis of ribonucleosides and 2′-deoxyribonucleosides, demonstrating a particular specificity for guanine, hypoxanthine, and their analogs. PNP (F-10) antibody helps study PNP′s role in purine metabolism, as PNP helps regulate purine nucleotide levels essential for DNA and RNA synthesis. A deficiency in PNP can lead to severe immunological consequences, including a significant defect in T-lymphocyte function, which is critical for adaptive immunity.
