(±)-α-Tocopherol nicotinate is a derivative of vitamin E and niacin. (±)-α-Tocopherol nicotinate is a red-orange crystalline solid with high solubility in water. It is sensitive to reactions with acids and bases, and upon hydrolysis, it releases niacin moiety. The compound is known for its ability to decrease lipid peroxidation and offer protection from oxidative stress.
