    SEE ALSO...

PL6 Antibody (38-K) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PL6 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-PL6 antibody (38-K) is available as the non-conjugated form. PL6 protein, also known as TMEM115 (transmembrane protein 115) or PP6 (placental protein 6), is a 351 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein predominantly expressed in kidney and skeletal muscle, with lower expression levels found in liver, placenta, pancreas, lung, heart, and brain. PL6 (38-K) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein structure that includes several transmembrane domains characterized by alpha-helical configurations, which are crucial for stability and functionality within the lipid bilayer. These transmembrane domains facilitate PL6′s role in mediating material exchange and communication between cells and their environment, making PL6 essential for various cellular processes. PL6 contains a phosphoserine residue, indicating potential post-translational modifications that may influence activity and interactions with other proteins. PL6′s ability to form stable hetero- and homodimers further underscores importance in cellular signaling and protein exchange, highlighting relevance in both physiological and pathological contexts.
