SEE ALSO...

Pitx2 Antibody (H-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Pitx2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Pitx2 antibody (H-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Pitx2 plays a crucial role as a transcription factor in regulating various developmental processes, including cardiac positioning and the morphogenesis of the pituitary gland and teeth. Notably, Pitx2 is essential for establishing left-right asymmetry in the body, as Pitx2 is asymmetrically expressed in the left lateral-plate mesoderm during embryonic development. This asymmetric expression is vital for proper lung symmetry, and mutations in Pitx2 can lead to significant developmental disorders, such as Rieger syndrome, which is characterized by a range of congenital anomalies. Pitx2′s importance extends to interactions with other proteins involved in developmental pathways, highlighting Pitx2′s role in the intricate network of gene regulation that governs organ development and symmetry. The genes encoding Pitx1 and Pitx2 are located on human chromosomes 5q31 and 4q25-q26, respectively, underscoring their evolutionary conservation and functional significance across species.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390457 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
